further consideration and by his discussions on the subject

with other Heads of big business firms in the Colony.

And Mr. Lauder's position as Head of such an Institution

as the Union of Canton Insurance Society gives him a practical acquaintance with all the questions and conditions dealt with by the Salaries Commission in their Report.
